1972 Iron Head Chopper

Just a bike I have owned many years. I mostly put it together with old swap meet parts.

The frame is a 1972. The engine is out of a 1971 that was rebuilt in 1974 and sat around in its original bike that I bought as as 2nd bike. But later I found that the frame was bent.

The front end is off a 1973. The rear wheel rear fender and sissy bar came from my brothers wrecked 1968. The 21 inch front spool wheel came from an old abandon chopper project that sat for almost 30 years. The bars are off a 2010 sportster that someone took off.

The brass grips are 5 dollar swap meet special. The seat came from Lowbrow Customs. The oil tank was free. The pipes and primary cover came off a 1976 I picked up for 650 and sold for 1000.

All the other stuff was either I fabricated or bought at swap meets.

The paint was done by Richie Pan.

This 1972 Iron Head is a great running bike and it's also my favorite bike out of the 3 I own at the moment. I am even enjoy riding her over my 1982 FXR and my 1961 Iron Head XLCH!

Over the years she has been in Magazines Books and Caledars.
