1976 XLCH Project Bike

XLCH Project

XLCH Project

I'm re-building my 1976 XLCH (mixed up). I call it my 76 mixxx cause about the only thing on the bike that's 76 is the numbers! I got dual discs on the front a single disc in the rear & no kick!

Last year when I replaced the clutch cable I found out the primary cover is a 77!? Not sure how that works considering as far as I can tell the inner primary is part of the case!?

I blew a hole in the front piston so I'm re-placing both front & rear pistons! I only wanted to hone the jugs but they gotta get bored! Now they're gonna be 70 over! (Hope the walls hold!) While I got the jugs & heads off I'm re-painting the jugs, heads, cases & rocker boxes! Then I'm gonna put forward controls on, change the rear fender to a Fatbob with a Skull Cat eye taillight!

I bent 1 of the shocks so I'm changing both (lowering) & replacing the seat! (Tore it when I went down). I need to put new rubber on the front & I'm gonna go up to an 8 or 10" T-bars! I'm also going with a bigger gas tank! (My bros hate having to stop for gas every 75 miles! LOL) . I'll post pix of the project as I go including the final ride!
