1981 Suzuki 1000 GLX Super Rat Chopper

1981 Suzuki 1000 GLX Super Rat Chopper:

This is my first build I used two bikes for this build. One was a 1985 Suzuki GL 550 F (front half) and the other was a 1981 GLX 1000 (back half), those were the two donor bikes for this Super Rat Chopper project. I used the 550 front end to make the 5 foot 7 inch forks , it is basically is a stock set of forks with a pair of 10 inch over forks welded to them and both sets are reinforced with chrome moly tubing, (inside and out), I also used some square 1 inch mild steel for the forks cross bracing. Front wheel is also off of the GL550F a 16 inch wheel with a dual piston drilled and slotted disc brake. Rear wheel is also 16 inch and the Rear Brake is the same as the front. The Gas Tank is off the GS550L with a fuel sending unit so that it does have a working gas gauge. It also has a electrical gear indicator and a oil light. The GLX 1000 was originally a dresser model and it has a very soft ride to it and it also has a very comfortable seat - this bike actually rides very soft , it is 5 speed transmission and it has a driveshaft. Wheelbase is 103 inches from axle center to axle center.
