1988 Sporster Bobber...

I found a 1988 Sporster 883 with only 6,000 miles. It had the original tires on it. Bought a weld-on hard tail section and installed it. Bought a new King gas tank that holds 3.3 gallons. Cut the rear fender down and making the oil tank out of an old diesel exhaust pipe. Relocated the battery and making the forward controls from plans I purchased from this site. I have a set of plans for a springer front end and intend to build them also. Will paint the tins black lacquer with blue pinstripe flames. Just finishing making the bracket for the rear muffler. Have some help from friends because I'm a really crummy welder but I love to paint and can't wait for that part. Intend to install ape hangers and new turn signals and side mounted license plate holder. Made the seat pan and padding. Covering it with leather now. Hope to have a completed picture to submit around April.
