Art Deco Sissy Bar!

by Tom

Finished sissy bar on 1992 FLHS Bending jig Fabrication complete Complete

Made a sissy bar out of 1/2 square 304 stainless rod. Hand bent it cold, drilled and tapped holes to screw it together since I don't have any welding equipment, and then surface grinded - sanded it down from 24 grit all the way to 2000 and then Mother's metal polishing compound, metal polish, and wax. Used existing HD mounts from a catalog sissy bar. It is sturdy and stiff but not necessarily indestructible. Time will tell if the screws vibrate loose or whatever.
