Yeah bobber Bones your heading in the right direction don't let anyone tell you otherwise its the authentic choice and give a nice clean visual appeal right through the bike at the rear section and will expose plenty of tyer and i think you can get the round oil bag that holds the battery. stear clear of inferior tiwan made custom chrome and get your self a goodin from a repitable supplier. they look shit hot on the bob job. You will need the model of your bike or at least engine type to order so the right fittings are there waiting for you to hook up the hoses etc.
Is it a ridgid chasis? Go a single saddle and a minimal upswept gaurd with a coffin tail light.
Drag pipes or upswept fishies and a sprung front end not raked. You may extend the length of the rear swingarm if thats what it is to give that drag look a 1-2 inch strech looks cool check Daves Triumph out for an idea of the effect it has on bikes.
This will mean you will need extra long chain of course but hey theres the trade off for visual appeal Matt black and red color combo for a tuff rat type bobber (these are just some ideas) Detail is where its at. Good exposure right threw the bike will give a optical illusion of minimal and it will be to a degree. Dont forget the hand shift or suicide clutch gear changer. Othe little things like a Knuckle buster kicker, Low down bars and a headlight that protrudes out further than normal all add. Although historicaly incorrect a it is possable to do a nice bobber with a swing arm chassis. It would be nice to see a pick of where you are starting. then the whole build can be documented here and others including myself can give better advise.
