Legacy Custom Softail Chopper

Custom Softail

Custom Softail

I have built a one off custom softail chopper...it took five long years to build not because it was hard but for the financial reasons...as I had the money I bought each part one by one. choosing each part carefully, keeping in mind and in vision what it was I wanted to build.

I finally drew a picture of a custom softail I had in mind and pretty much stuck to it. The picture in my head the colors the style and features i wanted to do all became a reality with patience and devotion! Investigating all aspects of my build what would work what wouldn't. Checking everything is important. Even though this was my first ever build people who have seen it ask me this was you first build! And proudly I say yes! I did all of my own fabrication all of my own cutting, welding, molding painting wiring and final assembly!

It is a smooth awesome machine. It turns heads by looks and sound. Will be entering it into the Denver show come February. My suggestion to anyone who wants to do the same... do your research. Make sure your frame rake trail and main parts are correct for this is the true basis of a great build! After just completing this custom softail chopper I call 'Legacy'. I am looking forward to doing it all again! I have all of the pictures of this build. If you are interested feel free to contact me by posting a comment below...

First of all, (.)(.)&Beer To You! That is a sweet sled you have created. I'd like to see more!

I'm still in the process, 85% complete, and spring is almost here! I'm running a stock 84-99 softail frame, 113" Ultima breathing through Dual Edelbrock 38mm carbs, (they set side by side and get me excited everytime I look at it) lol... Running a Jim's 6speed. Tanks & fenders are in good hands with my paintin buddy. I've got a few pic's during the process. I wouldn't mind swappin build stories if you have time this weekend.

My Favorite!!
by: Morne

Hi there! I have searched the web now for what is close to 4 months, for a design or idea I like, and I have found it. I am a complete newbie, and have the mindset and physical ability to do it, however where does one start? Could you please advise and if possible send pics/steps to follow? I assure you I dont want to take what is yours, and make it mine, but if it is ok with you, I want to do something similar!

How?
by: Omar Kamel

Hi,
It's really great to see this thing happen, you know? I mean I always wanted to do the same, but I don't know where to start, how to do stuff and all that. So I' really like to know how you acheived this, and if you can provide a step by step thing, that would be great, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks
Omar Kamel
