my adress is rac1@lantic.net let mehear of you i am also in the same shit hole as you {south africa} and would like to build a decent chopper to show the big heads abroad what artisanship is all about. my problem is to find a reliable v twin motor in access off minimum 750 cc.one last thing i am staying p.e.witch is the fucken worst place to be when trying to build a geniune custom chopper.....i dont want to chop a bike into a chopper i want to build my self a chopper therefor i need a motor.a v twin motor.my friend is in louisiana right know, got a mail tonight from him to tell me a new harley motor is $6000,a 2nd hand one goes for $2500,where is the import duties? hello..... for fuck sakes i am living in south africa.thats why i am looking for a alternative option, but it must be a v twin.
its good to know that i am not the only one with ambition in this shit hole.

Diamond In The Rough
by: Mark

Greetings And Good Day To You Horacio. Horacio, as you can tell by the comments a lot of us old school chopper fans find your bike very interesting. Can you leave a comment back on you bike as more information about our bike? What type of exhaust do you have installed? The size of the rear tire, type rear tire rim. Is the front wheel a drum or disk brake? Find a way to put some more pictures on the internet of your bike and give us a link. Keep up the good work. ON thre right side of the engine, it looks like a Z shaped bar, what is it?

Hector, you make a good choice with the CB750 and congratulation on finding a diamond in the rough. Take lots of pictures while you are building your chopper and I hope you will be able to post those pictures in the future. I will keep an eye on Google using the search of “Horacio Mexico City CB750” to see if I can find more pictures. Good Luck To you and Happy Ridding. US/CA/SAC

Great look
by: Javahut

Lots of stuff goin' on there to draw the eye, like the pipes, different and interesting, but you need to get some more pics up there, it has to look good from other angles too.

Hurray for Jap Scrap
by: rider75 in Canada

Hola Hector,
A pretty cool looking old Honda amigo! Home garage built choppers rule! Keep on with it. I remember when 55 to 57 Chevy cars were beginning to climb in price as more people hotrodded them. There were plenty of four door sedans around but nobody wanted the 4 doors, only the 2 door models. Now the 4 door cars are worth just as much. Same goes for old Jap bikes. I recently picked up my Kawasaki project bikes from an auto wrecker in trade for an old car that did not run.
I am still in the process of stripoping and cleaning the old '76 KZ750 Twin and am not yet sure if I will go for the cafe Racer look, the Bobber look, or go all out with a cycle One rigid frame. Even going full out rigid custom, the finished bike will be at most 2 to 3 thousand dollars. Try building a Yankee bike for that!

EXCELENT
by: Delport

Howsit.

I like what you have done to the CB750. Im busy building a rigid frame CB550 bobber. Mainly because I cant afford a harley too and being in South Africa doesn't help the effort :-)

Good luck and it is looking good.

WOW! Great ride!
by: Doug Lyons

That's a sweet bike. When I was young, a CB750 was a very prized possession and everyone wanted one. Don't worry if it's not a Harley. The latest thing is chopping a metric bike. There is a builder here in town that does nothing but metric (Honda)customs. He puts out some awsome stuff, but none as nice as your's is. Keep up the good work and post pictures of your progress. I'm looking forward to seeing your bike when it is done.
Thanks,
Doug Lyons
