xjbikes.com

I belive I have seen this build on Xjbikes.com In the modifications section there are a lot of rad Xjs out there. I have seen two close to this style. Not sure if either are these bikes but I like it. There is some talent here! The Xj community is great, and they are all very helpful.

Oh no you didn't.....
by: AlbuquerqueChop (xjforums.com)

I built that bike myself...ALL by Myself. My email contact is chiliheads505@yahoo.com if you want more info.

Basically, 85 Yamaha XJ700N , Harley Davidson Road king front and rear fenders (Fiberglass MY ass!) ALL metal. Metal seat pan and side panels....magnet sticks anywhere on that bikes body. I hand built those bars out of 1.25" steel pipe, check my other pics of this bike under Batman bike on XJforums.com or under my screen name and you can see the newest version.

Thank you for the previous post clarifying how the GS guy didnt build this badass machine, I did. And yes, it did sell on ebay for $2500 to a motorcycle shop owner in Louisiana, shipped out of Albuquerque,NM, my hometown!

Your friends may have built a GS, but this IS a Maxim 700 1985-6 and it sold on E-Bay for something like $2,500

it's a gs850
by: Anonymous

1981 Gs850, with an 80's yamaha tank. The bars are custom the wheels are factory. The frame was lowered and a fiberglass ass was made. It was built about four years ago in a friends shop. We hand built most of the crap on it. It lasted one season before it was wrecked by an idiot cager who diddn't think it was proper to stop at a stop sign.
