Easier To Shift With Synthetic Motorcycle Oil

I have tested both in my bike and found that synthetic motorcycle oil makes it easier to shift than the regular Petroleum oil. When I ran the Petroleum oil, my crank case seems to bind and makes it really hard to shift, not with the synthetic, it shift´s very smoothly. Does it make a difference where the engine is made?
