My Old School Chopper

by Troy Bowden
(Electra, Texas, USA)

I was in Jr High School at the end of the 60s. Went to high school in 69. Saw choppers on the TV and wanted one a lot. I went thru life looking for the good deal. Everyone does!! I never found the great deal. As I got older, I did not even see very many.

I have owned my own auto repair and small engine shop for many years. I have built race cars and such. I have owned several street bikes. Summer of 2006 I thought to myself "I can build a chopper".

I chose a motorcycle to start with and started aquiring parts. I have started on a 500 cc, 4 cyl, Honda. For this first try, I am going to modify the existing frame. I have already hardtailed it. I am in the beginning of fabricating a springer front end. I just now purchased a digital camera. Pics later.

I will finish this project.
