Ironhead Rebuild

Ironhead Rebuild

Hey guy's i'm totally rebuilding the Shelster, 1971 Ironhead Sportster rigid chopper. Mind you this is my very first complete frame build up that I'm doing on my own.

I just purchased a Paughco rigid frame for my project, but the neck rake only had a 30 degree rake, so the frame has to be redone with a 40 degree and a 1" to 2" front tubes for that better pitch in the frame. So I can run my springer front end or maybe even a longer one.

At least a 14" over to a 18" over wide springer front end.

it OK putting longer front end but make sure you get the rake right or it could be a bitch to handle.
