Stretched And Raked Ironhead Back In Work 2009

This is a 1973 Harley Davidson Custom built Ironhead SPORTSTER, Named “Gargoyle”. Because the “silver vein” powder coat paint used on most all of the bike (frame, sheet metal and including engine case accessories, etc.) is textured and resembles granite.

I started with a “Stretched and Raked” frame (fork neck was replaced with machined piece made from billet steel stock and welded into place before frame was powder coated).

Installed billet chrome “triple trees” with 18” Arlen Ness “Ape Hanger handle bars. Fabricated mounting a custom Fat KATZ 5 gallon stretched gas tank and I custom fitted an “FL” rear fender with matching front fender.

Did a complete engine rebuild: heads have had “Unleaded Gas Conversion,” SIFTON Lifters & complete pushrod tube assemblies, ANDREWS PB+ Cams Rockers and assembly, Kevlar Clutch and all primary parts, and S&S Super “E” Carburetor.

Topped it off with a re-upholstered leather diamond pattern seat I made fit my design. And lowered down to fit the female friend to ride it.
