Kz550 Bobber Project:

I've always wanted to build a motorcycle. I came across this kz550 for a good price and I figured now is the time. I picked this bike up stock it had a few missing pieces. Ive done all the work on this bike myself besides the welding on the frame. I'm new to welding and I don't trust my life to my welding yet. It still a work in progress. I'm currently working on building handlebars, rear fender, sissy bar, battery box, and highway pegs. I also just picked up a xs650 old donor bike from a junk yard that I plan to build a unorthodox bobber. Any ideas on my projects I would love the feed back or ideas.

by: Dennis

Hey man...I got a 75 Honda 550 myself...its in the begining stage...I planned to keep the swing arm frame put a more raked triple tree...about maybe 6 or 8 inch tubes...find an old king and queen seat...(they are getting more and more rare) maybe use an old sportster tank...or a really old tear drop one...I got some 10 inch apes...and the clutch cable...looking for the throttle...and brake lines...I was thinking of painting it the red white and blue EASY RIDER tank...foreward controls...ETC...ran out of money so far...but the IDEAS ARE THERE.
