Perfect Connections and Protection

Heat shrink! Think ahead of time heat shrink whatever you can. Heat shrink were parts of harness enter or exit tubing (frame or bars etc.) adding that extra layer of protection will increase life tenfold and it looks clean and professional.

Also heat shrink over connections even those mating components (relays, switches etc.) once again protect that connection. Even spaying connections with silicone before heat shrinking can help. It’s another layer of protection (helps a lot with moisture).

As article says go over your harness at least once a year preventative maintenance goes a LONG LONG way. I’m sure not going to be stuck on road being pissed at myself and my bike wasting valuable riding time or as I call it "open road two wheel therapy". Hope something here helped ride on and spread all knowledge.

Silicone use with heat shrink
by: Spider

Don't use Silicone. It produces ammonia that will cause corrosion.Instead try using Hot Melt Glue/Sealant.
